Headaches

Headaches are a commonly occurring ailment that ranges in its presentation from a mild discomfort to intense pain and varies in its frequency and length of presence.  Tension headaches are a result of muscular tightness around the skull, neck or shoulders while migraines are severe headaches that may give rise to feelings of nausea, vomiting and visual sensitivity.

Through cranial osteopathy, headache sufferers can find relief with treatment that uses gentle manipulation of the bones of the skull.  Depending on the individual patient’s situation, muscles in the neck, shoulders and upper spine can also be relieved through targeted massage to support relaxation of muscle tension that maintains the headache.

As headaches may also be symptomatic of other conditions, it is important that we discuss your medical history and get a more complete picture of the potential causes of headaches for you.
